Meet The Cake Pop Lady!

Meet Tasha…The Cake Pop Lady. As a girl she enjoyed baking with her great grandmother and having neighborhood bake sales. One day, in search of a yummy treat for her daughter's birthday party, she discovered cake pops. Convinced that she could make them herself, she purchased her baking supplies and practiced for weeks. Friends and family became her official taste tester’s and before you knew it request for cake pop orders poured in and that is when Cake Pops by Tasha was born! A few months later she decided to add more tasty treats to her menu and changed the name to Cake Poppers Etc. By Tasha.

Since 2012, Tasha’s cake pops and other treats have been spotted at wedding showers, baby showers, birthday parties, and conventions throughout the DC Metropolitan area.

The Cake Pop Lady Is Recognized By Her Community!

Caring Is Sweet!

Baking, writing and serving her community are all things that Tasha loves. So, needless to say when she received the news that she was nominated for an DMV INSPIRE Award she was overwhelmed!   Starting a dessert business was not always a plan of hers, but now that she has committed herself to building a company that provides tasty treats, fun services, and beautiful dessert tables; she has found a way to incorporate all of those things into her community service.

On February 23, 2019, Tasha was voted Innovator of the Year!

Giving Back

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?” — Martin Luther King, Jr.

Cake Pop Cares

Community involvement is a very important part of Tasha’s life and the mission for Cake Popper’s Etc. By Tasha. Her overall goal has always been to create a business that serves “sweet’ treats and does “sweet” things. Giving back to the community is not only a way for her to show her love for baking and creating tasty treats but to also show her love for people.

In 2018, Tasha started the “Cake Pop Cares” program to show her love and support for those in her community such as those in transitional housing/homeless programs, hospitals, and foster care programs to name a few. Each of these causes are near and dear to her heart and she wants to use her gifts to be a blessing to others. Each year an organization will be selected to receive free services such as a dessert table for a fundraiser event or a cake pop party for children in a transitional housing program.

This year we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our first event this fall. We look  forward to providing “sweet” treats to such a “sweet” community.

Be blessed!
